1. General Introduction

 

UNS C12200 is a high-purity phosphorus deoxidized copper (Cu-DHP), the most widely used seamless copper tube for refrigeration, HVAC, heat exchangers and fluid transmission systems. Different from ordinary pure copper, C12200 adds trace phosphorus for deoxidation, which completely eliminates hydrogen embrittlement risk (hydrogen disease) and greatly improves welding, bending and flaring performance.

All our C12200 copper tubes are produced by cold-drawn seamless technology, featuring smooth surface, precise dimensional tolerance and stable mechanical properties. The seamless structure avoids leakage risks, making it ideal for long-term operation in refrigeration, plumbing and industrial heat exchange equipment.

 

2. Material Performance Explanation

 

C12200 phosphorus deoxidized copper maintains the excellent thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of pure copper. Its outstanding corrosion resistance ensures stable service in fresh water, refrigerant and dry gas environments, and will not easily form oxide scale to block pipelines. This material can be processed in reducing atmosphere, suitable for various cold and hot forming processes. It is the standard preferred material for air conditioning condensers, evaporators, building water pipes and petrochemical fluid pipelines worldwide.
